What's New? Green Happenings in El Cerrito

Bike Share is Coming to EL Cerrito

On Tuesday January 30th, the dock-less bike sharing company LimeBike will be launching in El Cerrito! LimeBike, which is already operating in nearby Albany, Alameda, and South San Francisco, will bring 100 bicycles to El Cerrito’s streets for public use. The bicycles will provide El Cerrito residents, businesses, and visitors with an affordable, reliable, and sustainable option for traveling throughout El Cerrito and Albany.

LimeBike’s rides cost just $1.00 for 30 minutes, or 50 cents for students. Adults are encouraged to bring their own helmet, and everyone under 18 is required by law to wear a helmet. To celebrate the launch, new riders can use the code “EASTBAYLIME” to receive their first five LimeBike rides for free.

More information about LimeBike is available on LimeBike’s website and on the City’s LimeBike education and FAQ page.
