The City of El Cerrito, St. Peter Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, the El Cerrito Branch NAACP, and the West Contra Costa County Unified School District are proud to sponsor the 29th Annual El Cerrito Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration.

The theme this year is: "Keeping the Dream Alive – Resilient in our Resistance."

This year will mark a TWO DAY EVENT beginning with a FREE film screening of the award winning documentary "Gina's Journey: The Search for William Grimes" by local Speaker, Author & Storyteller Regina E. Mason on Sunday, January 14, 2018. The film screening will take place at the El Cerrito High School Performing Arts Theater, 540 Ashbury Avenue, El Cerrito at 4:00 p.m.

On January 15, 2018, the City will celebrate the 19th Annual MLK Celebration with a parade and rally beginning at El Cerrito City Hall.

Individuals and groups are welcome to help make parade signs, march in the parade, and attend the rally. Join your friends and neighbors at the longest running MLK Celebration in the Bay Area!
